About the Alliance Française de Bangkok and Its Mission:

Established in Thailand since 1912, the Alliance Française de Bangkok is the country’s leading French-Thai cultural center.

It offers a wide range of language and cultural activities: French and Thai courses (more than 2,000 students annually), artistic workshops (dance, fashion, design, etc.), and a rich and diverse cultural program.

In 2024, the cultural department organized over 180 events, attracting nearly 20,000 spectators. Its programming includes film screenings, performing arts (concerts, theater, dance, circus), conferences, exhibitions, cultural festivals, and diverse workshops.

The Alliance features a 220-seat auditorium equipped with a DCP projector and a full sound and lighting system, as well as several exhibition spaces and multipurpose classrooms. A recording studio will be inaugurated soon, alongside the launch of an original podcast in 2025.

The Alliance also rents out its spaces to a variety of clients: companies, associations, NGOs, public institutions, and institutional partners.

Main Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Head of the Cultural Department, the Coordinator of Artistic Activities and Cultural Events will be responsible for:

Management, Organization, and Development of Artistic Activities at the Art Center

  • Administrative: Planning, organizing and reporting Art Center activities; Supervising logistics for dance, fashion, and design classes, children’s camps, and occasional workshops; managing relations with instructors; administrative and financial monitoring in support of the Department Head and Management (instructor payments, session reporting, quotes, scheduling, invoice tracking).
  • Communication & Development: In collaboration with the sales, communication and marketing departments, promoting and providing information about artistic courses.

Event and Venue Rental Support

  • Cultural Programming: Handling logistics and organization of cultural events (festivals, performing arts, conferences, etc.) and cinema screenings in support of the Department Head (contacting vendors, written translations, signage, receptions…), liaising with local authorities, promoting events, attending and managing public reception, artists, vendors, ticketing, and updating admin and financial tools.
  • Venue Rentals: Overseeing rentals of the auditorium, foyer, hall, and classrooms (client contact, site visits, contract admin, quotes and invoices, presence during events) and developing visibility for this service with the communication and marketing teams.

To ensure smooth operations, the coordinator will serve as a liaison between the technical team (AV technician and building technician), clients, and artists, in support of the Department Head.

Desired Profile:

  • Native Thai speaker with good command of English (minimum B2 level in speaking, reading, and writing). Knowledge of French is appreciated but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and database software.
  • Holds a degree and ideally has at least two years of experience in cultural or event project management.
  • Demonstrates a strong interest in the arts and culture.
  • Dynamic and versatile personality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service mindset.
