Call for Art Project – Mural design Kids corner

Alliance Française Bangkok is the leading Franco-Thai cultural center in Thailand. Located in the heart of Bangkok, in Lumphini, next to One Bangkok district, Alliance Française Bangkok welcomes tens of thousands visitors and 2000 students a year. Alliance offers French language courses as well as numerous multidisciplinary cultural activities for all publics including hundreds of children. 

Project:

Alliance Française Bangkok is launching a call for projects for the creation of a mural painting by a single artist or a collective of artists, on three walls next to classrooms used for our young audience (children aged from 3 to 11 years old). This project aims at creating a kids corner: a children-friendly and joyful environment. 

The size of the walls to be painted is: 

  • Wall 1: H 9,74m x H 2,80m 
  • Wall 2: H 6,35m x 2,80m 
  • Wall 3: H 14;59m x 2,80m

Budget and schedule: 

The artist or collective of artists has to submit a provisional budget for the project. The global budget allocated to the execution of the project will be discussed and agreed upon by both parties during the selection process. 

The murals should be painted before the 12th of May.

How to apply:

You can send your project by email to culture@afthailande.org before 16th of April. 

Please join the following documents

  • Project description: please describe in detail your project (technique used, source of inspiration).
  • Design of the mural: join a visual that is as resemble as possible of the final results you would like to achieve.
  • CV, portfolio and links to access your previous works. 
  • Provisional budget for the project

Short-listed projects will be contacted by Alliance Française Bangkok for a meeting onsite.
