INTRODUCTION TO DANCE

INTRODUCTION TO DANCE
- From 3 to 4 years old: Beginner / Max. 15 students
- This class is taught in English or French
This class will explore basic dance movements through music: body placement, coordination, balance, jumps….while stimulating imagination and promoting creativity. This class is also designed to help the young students develop concentration and gain an understanding of the classroom community. Each course is divided in 2 sessions (mid-September to mid-December and mid-January to mid-June), with a performance on stage at the end of the second session.
- Session 1 (September -December): this session will focus on technique, dance vocabulary and specific dance skills that will be used for the performance which will take place beginning of June.
- Session 2 (January-June): this session mainly focuses on preparing the performance which will take place beginning of June. Warm up, learning of the choreography and rehearsals.
- Professors:
- Tiplamai Patcharawalai: certificated teacher from Universelle Européenne de Danse Paul et Yvonne Goubé, Paris, with high teaching experiences
- Saranratr Maneesawangwong: certificated teacher from American Ballet Theatre and Master degree in Dance Education from University of New York
- Class attire required:
- ballet leotard (no tutu) and shoes. Hair secured off face. No jewelry.
BALLET

BALLET
- 5-7 years old: No specific dance experience required / Max. 15 students
- 8-11 years old: No specific dance experience required / Max. 15 students
- This class is taught in English or French
- 12+ years old and adults: No specific dance experience required - Taught in English or Thai
A graceful and enchanting art form, ballet is a very demanding discipline, which brings strength, confidence and appreciation for music. The students will learn the fundamental elements of classical ballet through progressive exercises developing flexibility, balance and body placement. The lessons are for children aged 7 to 18 years old. Each course is divided in 2 sessions (mid-September to mid-December and mid-January to mid-June), with a performance on stage at the end of the second session.

JAZZ

JAZZ (CHILDREN, TEENAGERS & ADULTS)
- 5-7 years old: Beginner / Max. 10 students
- From 8 years old: Min. 1-2 year experience / Max. 10 students
- This class is taught in English or French
Exciting and fun, jazz dance is full of energy. Nowadays jazz combines dance moves from many different genres from musical theatre to street dance making for a very upbeat form of dancing. The student will learn the basics of jazz dance through warm-up, progressive exercises across the room and fun routines. The emphasis is on style, rhythm and confidence. The lessons are for children aged 5 to 15 years old and teenager to adult. Each course is divided in 2 sessions (mid-September to mid-December and mid-January to mid-June), with a performance on stage at the end of the second session.

- Professor: Nico Demuz: associate of Arts (Choreography Training) and professional dancer
