DELF-DALF ! WHAT IS IT?
Official diplomas
DELF and DALF are official diplomas granted by the French National Education Ministry, which certify competence in the French language of foreign candidates and of French citizens originally from a non-francophone country who so not hold a degree of secondary or university level French public education.
DELF and DALF are seven independant degrees, corresponding to the seven levels of language competencies (CEFR, common European framework of reference for languages) as defined by European countries for German, English, Spanish and French.
At each level – four competencies are assessed:
- Oral comprehension
- Oral presentation
- Written composition
- Written comprehension
French diplomas for everyone
DELF Prim (A1.1, A1, A2)
- Children attending elementary school (8-12 years old)
- The test subjects are adapted to the child’s age and centers of interest, whatever the learning situation may be: fostering interest in the French language, early learning, language of the school or language taught in school.
DELF Junior (A1, A2, B1, B2)
- Secondary school students
- The test subjects are adapted to the age and centers of interest of adolescents.
DELF-DALF Tout public (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 et C2), general public
- DELF B2 and DALF are a waiver for any language test requirement to apply for a French university.

HOW TO GET READY FOR DELF AND DALF?
Alliance Française Bangkok is a preparation center for DELF and DALF
These preparatory training courses prepare you for certifications and evaluations. The teacher provides activities and exercises relevant to the various tests being prepared for. You also participate in a practice test to become familiar with the test conditions.
