On Wednesday June 7, Alliance Française Bangkok held its General Assembly, which was  followed by the inauguration of the Associations’ Bureau, in the presence of His Excellency Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France, Mr. Ariya Banomyong, President of the Alliance Française de Bangkok, and Mr. Hervé Deguine, Director of Public Affairs Asia-Pacific and NGO Relations at Michelin.

Created on the initiative of Michelin, Alliance Française Bangkok and the Association française pour la bienfaisance en Thaïlande (AFBT), this new space aims to bring together civil society initiatives in favor of Thailand’s French-speaking and Francophile communities. Starting in June, it will bring together seven associations working in fields such as welcoming French speakers to Thailand, charitable aid, digital technology, gastronomy, entrepreneurship and eco-responsibility.

Currently in an experimental phase until September 2023, this space may subsequently be opened up to other associations. Conditions of access to the Associations Office will be announced in October 2023.
