INTERNSHIP : Assistant of Cultural department

(Starting at the mid of February 2025)

Internship details:

  • Location: Alliance Française Bangkok, 179 wireless Road, Lumphini, Pathum wan, Bangkok 10330
  • Duration: 2-3 months, 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, with potential adjustments based on Cultural Department activities.

About the organization:

Established in 1912, Alliance Française Bangkok stands as Thailand’s premier Franco-Thai cultural center, dedicated to fostering the teaching and learning of the French language and promoting Francophone cultures and cultural diversity. Reflecting the dynamic rhythm of Bangkok, it offers a wide range of French and Thai courses alongside vibrant cultural and artistic activities. 

Each year, Alliance Française Bangkok hosts over 180 cultural events—including exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, conferences, theater performances, and festivals—welcoming more than 2,500 students and thousands of visitors. The organization operates from a modern 6-story building featuring a state-of-the-art 220-seat auditorium, designed to accommodate a diverse array of events.

Additionally, Alliance Française Bangkok extends its facilities and services to public and private organizations, solidifying its role as a hub for cultural and professional interactions in the heart of the city.

Missions during the internship:

  • Event support: Assist in organizing and promoting cultural events and activities
  • Marketing support: Assist in developing strategies to promote activities and classes of the Art Center
  • Client and partner assistance: Support the venue rental process, including welcoming, guiding, and assisting clients, partners, and artists during their interactions with the Cultural Department. 

Qualifications:

  • Languages: Fluent English (ideally B2 level) ; French is a plus.
  • Hard skills: Organizational and administrative skills ; Basic knowledge on marketing ; Proficiency in Microsoft Pack Office ; Strong writing abilities. 
  • Soft skills: Strong interpersonal abilities ; proactivity and enthusiasm ; interest in intercultural interactions and in the Bangkok art network.
  • Additional: Compulsory internship agreement and an internship certificate provided by a school or university are needed.

This internship is ideal for students seeking hands-on experience in cultural promotion and administration within a multicultural environment.
