Accounting Assistant

 

Context : 

The agent will be attached to the Accounting department of Alliance Française – the French cultural center in Bangkok – in Lumpini district (179 Witthayu road, Pathumwan, Bangkok); the Accounting Assistant’s mission is to:

Role & Responsibilities :

  • Daily re-check the money receive from each registration staff with the bank statement
  • Daily manage and record payments through petty cash
  • Reconcile balance with bank statement for the payment from different sources for example Payment Online, Bank Transfer, QR Code
  • Gathering quotations/invoices from each department to submit to the Director for approval and prepares cheques payment after approval
  • Responsible for the procurement of stationery and some requested materials from other department
  • Manage the advance money, which would be requested from the different department in Alliance Française
  • Issue monthly invoices for any rental fee and facility charge to Café, Carnet d’Asie, IRASEC and other tenants
  • Revise the calculation for rental quotation prepared by Cultural department and continue to issue the invoices
  • Negotiate with suppliers and take care of withholding tax documents in case required
  • Give advices about the accounting terms to various departments in occasional case
  • Prepare the monthly report for Selling and Purchase VAT
  • Prepare professors’ monthly salary 
  • Provide occasional help to other departments on special occasions (open doors, celebrations, etc.)

Skills Required :

  • Good skill in English communications (listening, speaking, reading and writing)
  • Good skill in Microsoft program (especially excel/word)
  • Good skill in accounting software (Quickbook is preferable)
  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Some experiences related accounting field
  • Speed of execution, ability to provide solutions quickly
  • Great adaptability depending on the situation and the equipment available
  • Self-scheduled for each transaction by the priority
  • Diplomacy, calm and sense of hospitality (link with external partners and the internal team)
  • Loyalty, discretion and respect for hierarchy.
  • Team spirit.

Working days and hours :

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00-18:00 (1-hour lunch break)

The schedules may be adjusted depending on the needs and he/she will be subject to compensation.
