Media Library and Cultural Department Agent
Under the supervision of the Media Library Manager and in coordination with the Cultural Department Manager, the agent will be responsible for the following tasks:
Job Responsibilities:
For the Media Library:
- Welcome and assist the public in person, by phone, and via email (in Thai, French, and occasionally English).
- Manage borrows, arrange documents, and promote the media library’s services.
- Handle administrative tasks related to media library activities.
- Oversee the sale of second-hand books and manage the cash receive.
- Translate content (from French to Thai or Thai to French) for the media library’s social media platforms.
- Assist in organizing and leading events of the media library (workshops, screenings, conferences, exhibitions, school visits).
For the Cultural Department:
- Welcome and assist the public at cultural events.
- Manage venue rentals, including the auditorium, foyer, hall, and rooms of Alliance Française Bangkok (client contact, visits, administrative follow-up on contracts, quotations, and invoices, and presence at events).
- Assist in organizing cultural events (fairs, performances, conferences, festivals, cinema screenings, etc.).
- Support and coordinate the logistics (liaison with service providers, event setup, signage, ticketing, welcoming the public and artists).
- Act as a liaison between technical teams, service providers, and clients to ensure the smooth running of events and activities.
Additionally, the agent may provide support to other departments as needed (language courses, exams, artistic and language camps, etc.).
Work Schedule:
- Cultural Department : Wednesday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (with a one-hour lunch break).
- Media Library : Saturday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM (with a one-hour lunch break).
- Media Library : Sunday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with a one-hour lunch break).
Working hours may be adjusted based on operational needs, with possible compensatory time off.
Candidate Profile :
- Native Thai speaker with a good level of French (B1) and English (B2).
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, database software, and digital communication tools.
- Holds a degree and preferably has at least one year of experience in a media library or cultural management.
- Dynamic, versatile, with strong interpersonal skills and a customer service mindset.
