The opening of a new space: the “Pôle Livre & Multimédia (Book & Multimedia Center)”

We are thrilled to present our brand new "Books & Multimedia Center," which now brings together the Carnets d'Asie bookstore and our Media Library in one shared space. This new area, located on the 2nd floor and open since July 20, offers a rich and immersive experience in the world of Francophone books and multimedia resources.

A new space, a new experience

This reorganization aims to provide easy and friendly access to a wide selection of books, magazines, newspapers, and digital resources. Carnets d'Asie, previously located on the ground floor of the Alliance, has moved into the Media Library space, creating a unique environment where you can browse books, watch films in French or Thai, stay updated with magazines and TV5Monde, access Culturethèque, work in a welcoming and quiet space, use our game library, borrow materials, and even purchase your favorite books and educational resources.

Events you won’t want to miss

The new "Books & Multimedia Center" will also be the heart of many cultural and educational events. Author meet-and-greets, reading workshops, lectures, children’s activities, and much more will be featured. These activities are designed to enrich your cultural experience and build an active community of Francophone culture enthusiasts. To better serve you, we have also extended our opening hours:

Tuesday to Saturday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM (media library and bookstore)
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (media library only)

PRESENTATION OF SPACES

CHILDREN'S AREA

Discover the new children's area of your media library, where we've brought together albums, children's comics, documentaries and novels, as well as the Playstation and a selection of animated DVDs.

LEARNERS' AREA AND MULTIMEDIA

A new space dedicated to teaching French as a foreign language, with shelves of textbooks for students and teachers, as well as books on French linguistics and literature.
The space is also conducive to work thanks to our electronic resources: computer, tablets with access to Le Monde and Culturethèque, and our interactive table.
It's also the place to use our virtual reality headset.

LITERARY LOVERS' SPACE

In this new space, you'll find French-language literature, translated literature, literature in Thai, thrillers and short stories, and discover new novels.
The space also offers two large work tables and a relaxation area to discover the books.

RELAXATION AND MEDIA AREA

In a space dedicated to the arts and sciences, you'll find a new multimedia area: TV5 Monde and a DVD player to discover classic films.
This relaxing corner is the ideal place to discover French and Asian cultures.

CARNETS D'ASIE

In your new bookshop, you'll find a regularly renewed range of books in different departments: Youth/BD, French as a Foreign Language and School, Literature, Thrillers, Essays, Practical Books including Cookery, Tourist Guides, our Thailand and South-East Asia collection, etc.

In October, the launch of the e-commerce site will complement the bookshop's Facebook pages and Line site, and reinforce the increasingly important remote ordering and delivery service.
